| A long, long time ago, when Barbara lived in a mobile home (YES, a trailer!), a beautiful stray cat adopted her. This enchanting creature was named "Purr-Monster" for her humming could be heard from one end of the home to the other. Soon Barbara realized that this "creature" was ... shall we say ... schizophrenic?! She could (and would) growl and spit just as loud as she could purr! A cat with attitude. Gotta love it. She remained a loving (hee-hee) and loyal companion through several moves. But then it started. The spraying in the house. She ruined two apartments, and when we bought our first home we wondered what we could do. Two choices: (1) night-night kitty, or (2) she becomes an outdoor cat again after many long years inside. We obviously chose the latter and made the garage a safe-haven for her. Complete with kitty door, heat lamps, the works. The funniest part? She's friendlier than she's ever been. She's much happier doing whatever it is that a cat does. And although has remained "our" cat as far as vet visits and main meals, she's adopted the neighbors as well! She'd like to give a formal "Thank You!" to Steve, Heather, Stephen, Jimmy and Michael for a wonderful Christmas -- her own bowl, treats AND toys! Now THAT'S a happy cat! |
